Dark grenade color. It is a rich, dense, dark wine, perfumed with violets and full of solid tannins. Mature with notes of black fruit and heroic nuances. The tannins are firm with a good acidity.
Winemaking:
Quinta do Vesuvio is owned by the Symington family but managed separately from the family's shipping brands (Dow's, Graham, Warre). Vintage Port Wines are bottled in cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia after the second year of aging in French oak wood. Produced according to the traditional method of foot treading in classic stone called "lagares". A Vintage Port is only declared in years of exceptional quality.
