1991 Niepoort Vintage Port is an evolved, dense and medium volume Vintage Port. It is stabilized, balanced, with good notes of ripe black fruits, hues of cassis and licorice and develops on notes of spices, chocolate, mint and plum pudding. Finishes long and persistent.
Winemaking:
1991 Niepoort Vintage Port is produced by the traditional Port wine method, grapes are trodden in granitic stone's Lagares, and it's aged for 2 years, in French oak wood hulls before being transferred to the bottle.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Sousão, Tinta Roriz.
Tasting Notes:
1991 Niepoort Vintage Port is an extraordinary, smooth, rich and intensely evolved Vintage Port wine. It has evolved and matured notes of red fruits, mint mixed with stronger notes of tobacco, black pepper, molasses, and prunes. It ends soft and powerful with long finishes.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in the upright position ± 15 ° C at a constant temperature. Serve at a temperature between 12-14ºC.
