This is the name given to blended fortified wines, made from red grapes that are aged in wooden pipes, exposing them to the "angels share” a gradual process of evaporation and oxidation. The Tawny has an aging period between three to five years.

Store and Serve Advices:

Ramos Pinto Reserva Tawny is an elegant and fresh Tawny Port wine, with citrus aromas seasoned with tertiary flavors of dried fruit, honey, and the scent of white flowers. It is expressed revealing aromas of confit orange, marmalade, hazelnuts and roasted almonds together with balanced acidity.
Maynards Tawny Port has a light golden colour. Reveals complex flavours due to the good wood ageing as well a richness from the fresh fruit that gives life at its core. Its aroma combines ripe fruits and dry fruits with cinnamon. It has a sharped acidity that turns its final long and persistent.
Barao de Vilar is a young Port Tawny wine, with aromas of fresh fruits, a hint of anise flower, berries and light balsamic notes. It is an elegant wine, with a sweet profile, not very dense but very balanced and with good acidity.
Niepoort Tawny Dee has a beautiful brick red colour. It presents delicates nutty aromas and a hint of dried fruits. On the palate is very well balanced with a youthful fruity, luscious character, which integrates well with the soft spirit in his long ending.
This Graham's presents a deep golden-amber colour as beautiful as an old the tawny should be. It is rich and complex with a soft aroma of toasted almonds and hints of orange peel and spice. The enticing flavours are full and generous with a long, decadent finish.
Barros Tawny Port has a brick colour with reddish nuances. Bouquet of ripe fruits, dried figs and plums and a touch of wood and spices. Fresh and velvety in the mouth. It is a Tawny Port of medium density and fruity tannins.
