Trilho em Pormenor can be characterized by a Douro's red wine full of freshness and minerality together with extraordinary ripe dark fruit aromas wrapped in balsamic scents. It is dominated by flavours of forest black fruits and austere and dense tannins, seasoned by good hints of wood and very elegant acidity.
Winemaking:
Trilho em Pormenor is a red wine produced from autochthonous red grape's varieties of old vines with 80 years old, and mainly Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca from the Douro region. After grapes being foot trodden in granitic stone's Lagares, the wine has been subjected to a long period of maceration. The wine has fermented at controlled temperatures in granitic tanks. The wine has stayed for 23 months in used's French oak barrels prior to being stabilized and bottled.
Grape Varieties:
Old Vines of 80 years old of age, mainly Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca.
Tasting Notes:
Trilho em Pormenor presents itself as a very robust and elegant red Douro wine with fantastic purple colour, exhibiting delicious floral and mineral flavours, and dominated by aromas of black wild fruits. It presents austere and juicy tannins softened by notes of extraordinary wood and violet's fragrances.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
