Winemaking:
Proibido Vinha Velha do Pombal is a red wine produced in the demarcated Douro wine region, from old vines aged 60 years old, at 500 meters altitude. The grapes were destemmed by hand and then the wine was trodden on foot. Fermentation occurred without the addition of enzymes and occurred for 20 days at a controlled temperature. It was transferred to cement vats for over 2 months with old jars and remained for 15 months in used's wooden barrels.

Grape Varieties:
Old Vines of Alvarelhão, Bastardo, Tinta da Barca, Mourisco, Donzelinho Tinto, Tinta Francisca, Sousão.

Tasting Notes:
Proibido Vinha Velha do Pombal is an austere, solid, intense and markedly rustic red wine from the Douro wine region. It is a red wine extremely well balanced between the tannic notes and the aromatic intensity of the ripe black fruits, well marked on the nose, notes of spices, dry tobacco, and dark chocolate. It ends in an extraordinarily well-integrated acidity in the fruits.

Store and Serve Advice:
Store at a temperature of 18 ° C. Serve at a temperature between 16°C à 18°C.
