Proibido Marufo is an elegant, powerful and fruity Douro's wine region red wine. It has extraordinary aromaticity, highlighting the notes of blackberries, berries, and raspberries along with subtle notes of wood barrel, along with juicy and well present tannins.
Winemaking:
Proibido Marufo is a red wine produced in the Douro demarcated wine region, from vineyards over 30 years old, at 400 meters altitude. The grapes were destemmed by hand and then the wine was trodden by foot. The fermentation occurred without the addition of enzymes and occurred for 20 days at a controlled temperature. It was transferred into cement vats, over 2 months, with old wine pitchers and it has stayed for 8 months into used's wood barrels.

Tasting Notes:
Proibido Marufo is a red wine from the Douro wine region, of extreme elegance and subtlety. Produced from a unique variety of Mourisco red grapes, this red wine features a very intense aroma of red fruits, light notes of smoke and solid tannins.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store at a temperature of 18 ° C. Serve at a temperature between 16°C à 18°C.
