After the natural maturation of the grape varieties, the Aragonêz and Trincadeira varieties were carefully selected, harvested and transported to the Cellar where the total destemming and a slight crushing were processed. The fermentation occurred in French oak vats with controlled temperature of 26ºC. A prolonged maceration followed, the musts rested along with the stalks and the grape's skins for 15 days. There followed an eighteen-month stage in French oak barrels, followed by a 24-month bottle stage in the Cartuxa Convent cellars before being launch in to market.

Protect at a stable temperature of 18 ° C. Serve at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC.
It is a noble wine, exuberant, produced from the careful selection of vineyards with more than half a century, exclusive of Quinta de S. Luiz. These grapes give rise up to more intense and concentrated wines which express the essence of the terroir of the Douro Valley. Ripe aromas, wild fruits, with pleasant notes of fine spices. Quinta da Gaivosa Vinha de Lordelo presents a deep color with varied notes of violet, eucalyptus, varnish and black plums. It presents depth, complexity, and freshness, being distinguished by its enormous elegance. It is a wine packed with fresh fruit, licorice, and spices, enveloping, dense, but with a remarkable harmony and balance.
