Oboé Vinhas Velhas is a lush and complex red wine produced in the Douro wine region from the use of red grapes from old vines over 40 years old. It is a concentrated red wine, with wonderful aromatic power, closed and creased tannins and a sublime acidity.

Winemaking:
Oboé Vinhas Velhas is a red wine, produced from autochthonous red grapes of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Barroca from the Douro wine region, using red grapes from old vineyards of over Forty years old of age. After a long maceration, in contact of the skins and stalks, over 16 days, at cold, the wine has fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine has been transferred to new's French oak barrels where it has stayed for 12 months prior to being bottled. The wine has matured for further 6 months into the bottle prior being released.

Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca.

Tasting Notes:
Oboé Vinhas Velhas is an elegant, complex and imposing red wine from the Douro region. It reveals a deep ruby color, intensely fruity aromas, austere and very firm tannins, and well-integrated wood notes. In the mouth it is round, full-bodied, long and very tuned, revealing fantastic mineral notes and extraordinary acidity.

Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
