Since 1997 the Herdade dos Grous located in Alentejo, near the city of Beja, Portugal, was acquired by the distinguished hotel group Vila Vita Hotels. Herdade dos Grous is an estate of 730 hectares and is a quiet space to relax and enjoy nature. In this property in addition to the hotel's exploration, the Herdade is gifted with unique characteristics in the heart of the Alentejo. In a succession of olive trees, cork oak forests, and vineyards, it is not surprising that here we find the production of one of the most awarded Portuguese wines, such as the red wine selected from the house, awarded as the best red wine from Alentejo region in 2004. The Herdade dos Grous, besides producing its wines, is dedicated to the breeding of horses, cattle and olive oil.
