Herdade dos Grous 23 Barricas is a limited edition of 23 selected wine barrels. It's an impressive red wine that has a great structure, ripe black currants perfumes, as such a huge elegance and power. The acidity strides through the wine, giving a fine fruity feel on the ending.
Winemaking:
The Grapes to this Herdade dos Grous 23 Barricas were de-stemmed and gently crushed. The grapes are then relayed to the fermentation vats, and once in the vats they are inoculated with a specially selected yeast culture and fermentation taking place around 25ºC. Maceration is very gentle and adjusted in such a way as to produce a wine intended for earlier drinking, nevertheless, with a great ability to mature in bottle. It's aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Herdade dos Grous 23 Barricas is the final blend from a limited edition from the best 23 selected Syrah and Touriga Nacional's barrels.

Tasting Notes:
Herdade dos Grous 23 Barricas shows a deep, concentrated plummy-red tones. It has both complex and delicate aromas. It's a full flavoured red wine with an elegant profile and soft tannins.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
