Churchill's Late Bottled Vintage is an LBV Port wine with tannins, succulent, austere, and fresh. It shows notes of ripe black fruits, accompanied by notes of vanilla and spices, with aromas of black cherries and black figs prevailing in liqueur flavours. It is a rich LBV Port wine with elegant acidity.
Winemaking:
Churchill's Late Bottled Vintage is produced from the blend of powerful, rich and fruity wines of a single year by the traditional Port wine's method. The grapes are tread in granitic Lagares, the wine is stored and it ages, in large oak wood vats, for a period of 4 years old and it is bottled in the same way as a Vintage Port Wine, without any prior treatment.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Tinta Francisca.
Tasting Notes:
Churchill's Late Bottled Vintage is an LBV Port wine of great aromatic intensity and a great depth and structural richness. It is an extraordinary Port wine, which presents a dark purple colour, and highlighted aromas of black cherries, blackberries and liquorice. It presents juicy and sweet tannins, with austerity giving it freshness and minerality ending in soft acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serving temperature at 15ºC-16ºC.
