Maynards Colheita Tawny 1997 Port features a clean golden colour and ruby rim. It is a wine that highlights aromas of ripe macerated fruits, nuances of tropical fruits, citrus notes, and notes of caramelized nuts. It finishes with soft acidity and deep freshness.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1997 Port was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 20 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1997 Port is a mature, rich and intensely aromatic Port wine. It highlights aromas of caramelized dried fruits of honey and raisins, balsamic notes, citrus nuances. It presents slight and citric acidity.
