Colheita Port 1973 Real Companhia Velha reveals so much fruit richness as a lot of complexity of flavours. It's very complex and mature, with wonderful acidity and sweet raisin fruits that give it opulence. Acidity gives the wine a supremacy sensation, but it's the aromas and silky texture that shine on this Colheita Port.
Winemaking:
Colheita Port 1973 Real Companhia Velha was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of an exceptional quality, rare, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 40 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing on wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca.
Tasting Notes:
Colheita Port 1973 Real Companhia Velha has developed a green-gold colour and a huge concentration. It has gorgeous floral fragrances, flavours of dried apricots, raisins well balanced with the wood aromas. It has a wonderful texture.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serving temperature at 15ºC-16ºC.
