Pocas 40 Years Old Tawny Port is a golden, complex and voluptuous 40-year-old Port wine, concentrated, and loaded with maturated fruit aromas, tropical fruit nuances, and tertiary scents, of raisins, excellent wood, honey fragrances, candied orange peel. It ends in perfect harmony among its extraordinary freshness and it delicious acidity.
Winemaking:
Pocas 40 Years Old Tawny Port, is an aged Tawny Port wine produced from autochthonous red grapes varieties from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão. The grapes were foot trodden in granitic Lagares and after a long maceration, the fermentation process took place at controlled temperatures. When the wine had achieved the sweetness desired the wine spirit (Aguardente), was added to stop the fermentation. Pocas 40 years old Tawny Port is the result of the blend of the best batches of Port wines which aged in oak wood vats, for an average age of 40 years old.

Pocas 40 years old Tawny Port is a superb, opulent and elegant 40-year-old Port wine, which presents lots of maturated fruit flavours among extraordinary tertiary aromas due to its wood ageing and fabulous acidity.
